During this procedure, the gum is surgically incised and separated from the underlying teeth and alveolar bone, providing direct access and clear visibility to the treated area. This allows for the removal of diseased internal tissues in an exposed environment. Additionally, the remaining alveolar bone is addressed by cleaning, <\/span>eliminating<\/span> softened, <\/span>osteitic<\/span> areas, and smoothing sharp edges or tips.
