The first visit

The American Association of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that the first visit at the dentist, to take place around age of 1 year or within 6 months from first tooth eruption.

It may seem premature, but this is also our recommendation. At first contact, the pedodontist could check for early signs of developmental disorders, could support the parents which have received indication for dental hygiene and prevention that can be performed at home or in the dental office. However the most important achievement of the first meeting between the little patient and the dentist, is the child to become familiar and to accommodate with the dental office.

Special cases

• Children with a high degree of anxiety, advanced dental disorders or general health problems are often rejected by the romanian dental clinics.
• At Trident Diminutive we have built a multidisciplinary team in order to offer to every child access to dental care.
• Unfortunately, for many children, dental treatment is still associated with fear, anxiety, pain. To support these low-cooperative cases, Trident Dental Clinic initiates collaboration with Madalina Bita, specialist in pediatric psychology.
• Our psychologist’s mission is to facilitate communication between dentist and high anxiety patients, ensuring the discomfort decrease and the cooperation of the little patient during the whole dental treatment.
